happy new year to all! =)
haven't blogged in such a long time lol.just went to obsabah almost a month back.so fun omg!!!
before course commencementdidn't really know what to pack.was very bochap about it.just anyhow only XD two days before then start packing.got a lot of stuff only at the last minute.
11 December 2006(DAY 1)woke up.hyped up already lol.my mum got breakfast from McDonald's.then slacked until my dad came.went for lunch at turf city.ate horse meat XD
nah...it was dim sum and some other stuff...
then i was on my way to PA HQ!
on the way there...was thinking what i left out.didn't think anything.YET.
my dad bought me some sandwiches and a drink.was recovering from a fever.
reached PA HQ with a minute to go.THEN i realised: SHIT.I DIDN'T BRING THE OYP SHIRT.
but heck care anyways.lol.
after a briefing and some reprimanding by the people in charge,we were off!
sat next to kumaran on the bus.lol.hit immigration about 20 mins later...then back on the bus 10 mins later.then slept all the way to the airport.whoo!checked in our luggage.then ate marrybrown's.got some gum.then it was time to board the plane.free seating.LOL.
got a seat.joked around with people around.then SLEEP again!haha.
woke up just before we landed.then it was the ride to the base camp.reached there like 10+pm.then ate.then we were assigned bunks and groups.got our linen and went to sleep.heh.

DAY 2woke up at 0530.rushed to be ready by 0555 for morning PT.so dark la lol.went to this clearing.then warmed up and stuff.played some ice-breakers.after that went for breakfast.then we were told to choose a group name.i wanted Kinabalu,the rest were bochap.except for fazeelah and aida,who picked the name Mat Salleh,meaning Caucasian.apparently they chose it because dave,our instructor,is English.then had team building at that same clearing...the games were pretty...interesting.heh.then after that prepared for the ridge run.if my memories serves me correctly.we ran, jogged and walked.then i lagged behind to help some group 2 & 1 peeps.then after that heard my group members call for me.felt guilty for forgetting to inform them i was helping people.so ran all the way front.then went down to the end.happy ending...NOT.
'BEES!' I heard a scream.instinctively i ducked.i heard yi sheng,my group member,yell in pain.and i was next.AH...lol.then heard a bunch of people screaming in agony...all i could think of was to get away,though i badly wanted to swat off the bees attacking all of us.heh.got the rest in front to run like mad.got to the end with a sharp pain on my back,head and left shoulder.whoohoo.got treated to right after yi sheng.got many pulled out.a sharp pain right after sting removal,then numb nothingness.shiok.after that walked along the beach back to the OB base.rest,shower,rest some more.then EAT.super hungry.after that had briefing for jungle trekking.pumped myself full of water,following daphne's orders.to neutralise the poison.drink until busting to pee every 2 hours lol.then after that distributed rations for the trek...then was packing in my bunk when i got called by rifafe(hope that's correct) to go to the clinic for a checkup.got there at 9++.stupid thing was,everyone was checked by 10+.only me.and i was thinking: 'we need bloody rest,though the checkup is necessary.why is everyone checked like a million times for just a few bee stings.okay,with the exception of rifafe,who got 35.'by the time we got back to the base,it was already one plus and we still had to get ready by 0555 the next day -_- so retarded,though necessary.stupid inefficient doc.
DAY 3woke up.felt retarded,like someone just gave me a knockout cocktail.stumbled out of bed and got to the toilet.felt better after the wash-up,but still had a dull headache.knew something was wrong with me already and it wasn't just the smell of the fragrant toilet that followed me around.went to the beach in my booties.just too freaking tired and lazy to grab that pair of socks and tie the shoelaces.took part in the warm-ups.DAMN.nearly fainted.so bloody dizzy.went to sit next to rifafe.poor dude.after the rest went for their run,we went to look for daphne.our 'mummy' as hubert said.lol.we couldn't find ANYBODY.not a single soul.so we fell asleep at the assembly hall,where we were woken up by daphne and andrew about half an hour later.we were feverish.rifafe with 38.7...? and me with 38.3.we and two other girls,lee jing and diyana,were brought to the clinic...and then checkup by that stupid doc again...then after that got the medicine.went back to base.our friends were gone...went for their trek(groups 2&4) and sailing(groups 1&3).so sian.the rest of the day was so freaking boring i won't talk about it.
DAY 4woke up at 6+.stupid flying insects all killed themselves in the bathroom.death by electrocution.went in to wash-up.then realised my face was swollen.WTH.after that went for breakfast...told by daphne we could go for the homestay tmr if we got better.well.beats getting stuck at base.then we played cards...got news that rashid and chandini were coming back!w00t.rashid got a splinter into his finger.REALL big one.then chandini got stung by a bee.LOL.the sailiing people got back first though.and they all were visibly more tanned than before they went out!wow.played cards and guitar for the rest of the day with the ocassional break in activity for meals and a lull in the liveliness due to the other activities the groups 1&3 had to do...day 4 ended with us packing for the homestay...
DAY 5woke up.swelling died down.a little.then breakfast.then final preparation for homestay at the village...then we were off!reached there about an hour later.so hot and stuffy.fell asleep.woke up at the group 2's 'home'.damn.their place is nice man.reaching my 'home',i liked it.though there was the ocassional mangy cat and cockroach.my group arrived not too long before us.the rest of the day was slacking and card games again...and cooking and eating.and playing dumb games that i half understood.LOL.slept real early.cause got nothing to do.hah.at 10+.we had a commotion around 15 mins later.a cat jumped in and freaked out the girls.haha.
the rest of the course on another day when i'm free.heh.6 days more to go.11 dec-15dec so far.
